THE SURF FORECAST TO FEED YOUR STOKE

Surf Report South Coast, South Africa

Posted: Thursday, 23

Hmm the fun of the last few days seems to take a duck just in time for the weekend.

The Saturday South Coast surf report is for messy onshore conditions.

Sunday looks much more surfable with some good size waves.

Into next week and Monday looks like the stand-out, small glassy waves.

This is the time of year when it all happens on the South Coast.

For the South Coast surf report for this weekend we have 4-5 foot waves pretty much the whole time.
The wind is not amazing but if you get in there early you should get a wave.

Into next week and the forecast is for fun sized clean conditions, Monday, Tuesday and then a snarling easterly wind on Wednesday.

The South Coast surf forecast is looking pretty good for Sunday with light to moderate South Westerly winds and waves in the 3-4 foot range.

Into next week and the surf report looks like you will need to get in there early before the wind ruins the fun.

Surf Report South Coast, South Africa

The South Coast region starts on the Bluff off Durban harbour and extends down to the start of the Wild Coast past Port Edward.

The Scottburgh surf report is updated hourly. The surf is consistent year round with the best swells being in the winter months between April and July. In the summer months the water is warm and only boardshorts are required. In winter either a spring suit or 2-3mm wetsuits will be fine. The water quality is generally very good except after summer heavy rains when the water can become brown and dirty.

There is a large variety of waves from beach breaks to point breaks. There are some world class spots such as Cave Rock, Scottburgh and Umzumbe.
