The North Coast should be firing this weekend!
4-6 foot surf with pretty clean wind conditions. The wind starts out both Saturday and Sunday South Westerly before turning more Southerly later in the day. Low tide is around 9am so it looks like game on.

The North Coast should have waves in the 2-4 foot range this week with the cleanest conditions in the mornings.
Monday and Thursday morning are looking best at the moment but stay tuned to the Ballito surf report to see how things shift around with the wind.
The North Coast region stretches from past Umhlanga Rocks up to Richards Bay in the North including towns like Umdloti and Ballito, home to the Ballito Pro surf competition.
The Ballito surf report is updated hourly. The surf is consistent year round with the best swells being in the winter months between April and July. In the summer months the water is warm and only boardshorts are required. In winter either a spring suit or 2-3mm wetsuits will be fine. The water quality is generally very good except after summer heavy rains when the water can become brown and dirty.
There is a large variety of waves from beach breaks to point breaks with the waves generally being a bit bigger than the more protected Durban region.
