THE SURF FORECAST TO FEED YOUR STOKE

Surf Report North Coast, South Africa

Posted: Thursday, 16

For the Ballito surf report for this weekend we have some pretty large surf in the 5 foot plus range. Saturday the wind is a mess and Sunday it is a bit better but not amazing.

Next week Wednesday might be some small glassy fun waves.

For the weekend Ballito surf report we have strong east winds Saturday and strong South Westerly winds on Sunday. There is swell around but maybe the wind is going to ruin the fun.

Into next week and although the swell has dropped off a bit there should be surfable conditions early in the morning.

On the Ballito side of the world we got swell!

Pretty much 4-6 foot waves from now until late into next week.

Winds aren't looking amazing though so keep an eye on the Ballito surf report on wavestoked.com to find those little nuggets of magic.

Surf Report North Coast, South Africa

The North Coast region stretches from past Umhlanga Rocks up to Richards Bay in the North including towns like Umdloti and Ballito, home to the Ballito Pro surf competition.

The Ballito surf report is updated hourly. The surf is consistent year round with the best swells being in the winter months between April and July. In the summer months the water is warm and only boardshorts are required. In winter either a spring suit or 2-3mm wetsuits will be fine. The water quality is generally very good except after summer heavy rains when the water can become brown and dirty.

There is a large variety of waves from beach breaks to point breaks with the waves generally being a bit bigger than the more protected Durban region.
