Cold, small and glassy.

That's what is happening in Durban this weekend. If that is not your thing then look to more Northern beaches like Bike and bean for a bit more swell on Saturday morning.

The Durban surf report into next week looks like more of the same, great winter conditions minus a bit of swell.

After a great Sunday in Durban with clean conditions the swell starts to drop off for Monday.

The Durban surf report for Monday and Tuesday has the waves around 1-2 foot with light winds. By late Tuesday afternoon the Easterly wind will spoil things but we will get a bit more swell around until Friday when it should be small and glassy again.

Mixed bag for the week so keep an eye on the Durban surf forecast on wavestoked.com for the latest.

Tides are near springs so expect big shifts between low and high.

In terms of the wind it is a bit of a mixed bag. Best bet for that, check the wavestoked.com Durban surf report before you head to the beach.

Early Wednesday or last thing Thursday seem to be the pick of the bunch for this week.

Enjoy!

A beautiful winters day on Saturday with light winds and clear skies. Sunday is a bit colder with offshore winds.

The swell is running from the South so not a lot of action on the Durban beaches. Waves probably around the 1-2 foot range again.

Keep an eye on the Durban surf report hopefully we get some action next week.

Posted: Sunday, 29 May 2022

The week starts off with a proper bang.

4-6 foot waves and offshore winds for Monday morning around North Beach.

The more northern beaches will get a bit more swell. Size at Addington should be more like 3-4 foot.

The rest of the week the swell is much more mellow with waves around the 2 foot mark and a couple of 3 foot sessions.

Looks to be a cracker so keep an eye on the Durban surf report to book your slot :-)

Posted: Friday, 27 May 2022

The Durban surf forecast for this weekend is looking like more of the same with waves in the 1-2 foot range and light winds.

Hopefully we have seen the last of the devastating rains that have hit KZN again this weekend.

Waves for next week are hovering around the 1-2 foot range again. It looks like clean offshore conditions Monday, Wednesday and Friday but even Tuesday and Thursday should be pretty surf-able if you can deal with the size. :-)

Lets hope the water quality doesn't deteriorate too much.

Posted: Friday, 20 May 2022

Looks like a cold wet weekend ahead and that means waves :-)

In terms of size we are looking probably in the 2-3 foot range for most beaches. The swell is kind of Southerly so there might be a bit more size to it on the Northern beaches.

The wind is south westerly and offshore for the whole weekend. Sunday it might blow a bit too hard and spoil things.

Saturday is looking pretty small with not much swell around.

Winds are light but not looking too surfable.

Keep a close eye on the Durban surf report to see if things are going to pan out for Sunday.

Posted: Monday, 2 May 2022

There is a good southerly swell out there but unfortunately not a lot of it will swing into Durban.

Should be smallish 1-2 foot waves in town this week with some bigger waves on the more Northern beaches. Wind is looking good for Tuesday morning. Wind for the rest of the week is more mixed with the mornings being better than the afternoon.

Posted: Friday, 29 April 2022

Calm offshore winds for the weekend ahead in Durban. Unfortunately though there is just not that much swell around.

The good news is that both the North and South Coast are looking good with glassy conditions and waves in the 3-5 foot range, particularly on Sunday.

Looks like a goody!

Posted: Sunday, 24 April 2022

Durban should have really good offshore winds until Thursday.

Unfortunately there doesn't look to be much swell around so we looking at waves in the 1-2 foot range.

By Friday and into the weekend it looks like there might be some swell around so keep your eyes on the surf forecast or go get yourself some 1 foot barrels on the beachfront until then.

Should be magical autumn surf in the 2-3 foot range.

The wind is looking good for Tuesday and Wednesday before the Easterly creeps in by Thursday morning.

Enjoy!

Posted: Saturday, 16 April 2022

What a week of absolute carnage in KZN!

Let's hope the rains stay light and no more damage is done.

In terms of surf in Durban for the Easter weekend Saturday we have offshore winds and 3 foot surf. Sunday and Monday will be a touch smaller but still with some pretty clean conditions except obviously for the water quality.

If you don't fancy a surf with trees and shipping containers then it's a great time to get involved with one of the several beach clean ups being planned.

Stay safe out there!

Posted: Sunday, 10 April 2022

We got some swell rolling in this week!

Pretty much from Monday to Friday we should have waves in the 4-6 foot range. There is also the potential for it to go bigger so stay glued to the Durban surf report for updates.

In terms of wind, the easterly should be around for the beginning of the week with some cleaner conditions later in the week.

Looks like it is going to be a cracker!

Posted: Friday, 8 April 2022

Saturday starts off with the same magic glassy conditions we have had for the last couple of days.

Northern beaches like Battery should be around 3-4 foot, with North and Addington being more in the 2 foot range.

By Saturday afternoon the onshore winds will be with us and will hang around for the rest of the weekend. Fair well glassy conditions.

Posted: Monday, 4 April 2022

For the weekend ahead the surfs looking pretty small in the 1-2 foot range with okay but not great wind conditions. Still looks like a great weekend to be on the beach though.

Durban is looking good until at least Wednesday with glassy offshore conditions.

Friday and into the weekend we might be looking at some bigger swell from the tail end of the latest cyclone.

Keep an eye on the KZN surf report for updates. It's going to be another epic week ahead!

Posted: Monday, 7 March 2022

Light onshore winds for most of the week ahead except for Friday where it is looking pretty good with the westerly kicking in.
